CONCEPT: Gender Transgression Hector Acuña Performer / Gender Artist, through Frau Diamanda, a character of his own creation, explores the vast range of what gender transgression may offer from the mimetic parody of a drag queen to the introspective ressemblance of a feminoid hybrid. The female idealization as a way of activism calls into question the arbitrariness of social conventions about the only and one only gender duality in force. Gender turns into a sort of a ductile material for the generation of contradictory characters definitively withdrawn from real world. The transformer as a transgressive agent seeks for an aesthetics breaking in wich both genders coexist in harmony in order to open a new access to face the historical - cultural imperative to decorate genders in a very different way. The aesthetics of transformism is not a mockery of the feminine but a radical homage to femininity. To conclude, the process of cross dressing must be considered a subversive act per se.
